I live by my email. Every day I receive at least 100 new emails, some junk, some crucially important to my work. I need the best email service out there.
I’ve been sifting through different companies, searching for that one, most reliable email service. Not to bash Hotmail, Yahoo, or AOL (just to name a few), but they simply can’t compare to Gmail at all. Gmail’s astonishing spam clearing service and easy-to-use structure provides me, and millions of other users with a great variety of things to work with.
Spam Control
Gmail blocks about 95% of the spam that gets sent to me. For many new emails, spam is not a known issue. But for those of us who have been networking and building our reputations, we are constantly hit by spam. I even calculated how long it takes for a new spam email to arrive in my spam folder – 21seconds on average! Absolutely ridiculous, which is why I am in debt to Gmail’s superior spam filter.
Google Apps
Let’s take Yahoo and Google to war this time. Yahoo’s applications are a bit, iffy, to say the least. That is, when comparing them to Google’s. Google has created an infrastructure of amazingly useful and profitable apps that Yahoo simply doesn’t have. I never liked the way Yahoo made its appearance and presented its apps.
Unlike Yahoo, Google makes learning and applying its apps much more easier than Yahoo. I always found it sort of hard to navigate and figure out exactly what Yahoo’s apps were good for.
Also regarding the apps, Google offers them all for Blackberry and iPhone users. Yahoo does this as well, but I always find it slow and hard to use. Google’s mobile apps are amazingly straight forward and easy-to-use. Google allows the user to sync the mobile apps with the online apps as well, making it easier for me to stay organized wherever I am.
Stupid Ads
If you’ve ever used Yahoo, Hotmail, or AOL, you’ve witnessed the appearance of those annoying ads. While Gmail does have some ads around its interface, they don’t bother you while you are trying to get your work done.
So if you’re still stuck in the systems of Yahoo or AOL, forget them and realise that Gmail, is everything you’ve ever needed.
