In a recent interview with BusinessWeek, Digg CEO Jay Adelson stated that his social media company wasn’t up for grabs.
But to many Silicon Valley veterans, they know that there is no such thing as a no sale. A sale is always available upon the right terms that the buyer has to offer. Digg needs to realize that with the current economic situation, they’re not going to get a price that they may want.
Many believe in this as well. The longer the site waits for the perfect bid, the more the value is going to decrease. They pretty much need to get out now or suffer later.
Also a problem with the site is that its user base is very niche. That is, the site flip flops in search rankings all the time. One day is may surge with political insghts, and the next it could rank moreso for a new book Donald Trump just wrote.
