Apple and Adobe

Apple has never failed to amuse us with their over-the-top products and high-tech gear. What has failed to amuse us is the amount of time it is taking for a Flash software, by Adobe, to emerge on our phones. The iPhone has been out for about 2 years now and still iPhone owners are unable to view sites which feature Flash.

As sites featuring Flash are getting more abundant, it is becoming necessary for cell phones to offer this feature. If there is YouTube, why can’t there be Flash on the iPhone? The reasons that Apple is taking so long to have Flash on the iPhone, according to CFT, are as follows:

  1. The most logical explanation is that it is not practical and hard to do.
  2. Enabling Flash on an iPhone is just taking longer than expected for Adobe to finish.
  3. Some compatibility issues between software and application might have arisen. The iPhone is a mobile device and not something Adobe has experience creating programs or applications for.
  4. Apple is not providing enough funding to Adobe to be able to carry on the production process for Flash.
  5. We have heard rumors that there are terms that don’t allow Flash to be featured on the Apple iPhone.

Nevertheless, whatever the reason may be, if anything will happen, it will happen in the next few months. The iPhone is beginning to age and has reached its peak. If Adobe features Flash as an App, it should be the best selling application in the Apple Application Store. There is an open market here waiting to be exposed and if Adobe doesn’t take advantage of it, others will. There are huge profits waiting to be made; it’s a rat race to the finish line. HURRY UP THE PROCESS!!!
