Yes, that’s correct, Truvia is manufacturing Amish PCs, which you need $55,000 to buy.
The company specializes in blending furniture with PCs. Maybe this will create a revolution with the Amish…
Founder of Truvia, John Wojewidka, decided to come through on this idea while looking for more ways to popularize PCs are living room furniture. This has also heated the brains of Microsoft, who are looking at similar plans.
That’s very interesting, but what would an Amish person want a computer for? And do many Amish people have $55,000 to spend on something they won’t use?
You’re correct kram412. Amish people don’t particularly use computers, unless they are slightly adapting to modern culture.
I think Truvia is manufacturing these because it could draw in a wealthier class. Most upper class people like to decorate with old, traditional styles.
That’s just speaking from a U.S. citizen’s point of view though. I’m not sure if they have Amish groups in Europe (Social Studies never interested me).
That sounds like a very…odd innovation. I don’t think I’ll be buying.
